The type with sealed cartridge does not require maintenance. The traditional type (e.g. Record Pista up to the 2000 range) should be disassembled and lubricated periodically.

5. What does "USB" stand for?
| USB stands for Ultra Smooth Bearings, Campagnolo's ceramic ball bearings that feature extremely high smoothness guaranteed by perfectly smooth surfaces, less friction for the maximum reduction of power loss, reduced weight, and resistance to corrosion.
USB technology is used for Record cranksets and for the new Shamal Ultra wheels.

7. What does "ESP" stand for?
ESP (Enhanced Shifting Performance) Actuation System is a system that was specially developed by Campagnolo to improve the shifting synchronism. Thanks to the special design of the gears, now there are two specialised sectors for upshifting, diametrically opposed, and two sectors for downshifting, also diametrically opposed.

8. How do I know whether my frame is compatible with your Ultra-Torque crankset? Is it sufficient to replace the integrated cups?
Campagnolo Ultra-Torque cranksets are compatible with the majority of frames present on the market. To verify compatibility, it is sufficient to make a number of simple measurements of the bottom bracket of the frame as indicated in our technical manual. Based on the type of bottom bracket (thread or not) the appropriate type of cap is used.

There is and was in the 2008 range for Chorus and Record cranksets. But this gear is not compatible with your crankset, which has different screw centre distances.
