2-Way Fit is the big Campagnolo success on the wheel market for 2009!
This is why we have decided to expand the offer dedicated to the dual option tubeless/standard clincher and to introduce, for 2010, the new Zonda 2-Way Fit.
With this decision, Campagnolo confirms its policy of providing our customers with the absolute best in any condition. In fact, thanks to the 2-Way Fit™ profile, it is possible to take advantage of both the tubeless and conventional tire technologies: performance, comfort, and road holding with the former, practicality and economy for the latter.
But what's most surprising for this new wheel is the truly extraordinary work accomplished by Campagnolo in regard to weight: 1580 g!
This is the result of meticulous attention given to the details: the thickness of the rim extrusion has been reduced, thereby eliminating all the excess material, and the rim has been lightened between one spoke and another. The steel spokes feature aero geometry and differentiated thickness, and are different sizes depending on their function: more slender in the less critical positions, sturdier in the most critical ones. So we have 2.2/2/1.5/2 spokes for the front and the left side of the rear wheel ? less subject to stress ? and 2/1.8/2 for the rear wheel cassette side, where the spokes have to bear the maximum load.
In addition to the weight, Zonda 2-Way Fit features a new antirolling system for the spokes specially developed by Campagnolo, which keeps the spokes constantly in the ideal position to ensure perfect aerodynamic penetration. The hubs also have a new design, further increasing the smoothness.
