From experience gained with Ekar 13s, Campagnolo introduces a new generation of cassettes for the Super Record 13 groupset, designed to ensure even smoother, faster, more accurate and quieter shifting. Thanks to space optimization and use of a 13-speed chain, it has been possible to add an extra sprocket without changing the freewheel body standard: the tried and tested N3W standard has been maintained without adapters or dedicated hubs.
The new tooth profile, combined with the Black Chrome surface finish, improves noise reduction, reduces wear and increases durability over time. The gear ratio has been newly calibrated for use with a single chainring, ensuring smooth progression without excessive jumps: the cadence is always regular and agile, even in the most critical conditions. The smaller difference between the sprockets optimizes effort management, helping the athlete to improve performance and reduce fatigue.
The cassettes are available in two configurations, designed to adapt to different types of routes:
- 9-42: 9-10-11-12-13-14-16-18-21-25-30-36-42
- 10-48: 10-11-12-13-14-16-18-21-25-30-36-42-48
This structure features a monoblock with the first 3 sprockets, followed by 5 or 6 independent central sprockets (depending on the configuration), and a final monoblock consisting of 4 sprockets for the 9/42 configuration or 5 for the 10/48 configuration.
With the Super Record 13, an extra sprocket isn't just a number: it means more choice, smoother transitions, a consistently perfect cadence, and a superior riding experience.
Like the entire platform, SR13 cassettes adopt the N3W freewheel body, confirming the complete interchangeability of components and ease of use without the need for adapters or specific hubs. These sets of teeth, the most generous on the SR13 platform, are only compatible with the Super Record X rear derailleur, dedicated to gravel riding, or with a hybrid 1x road setup.
