Super Record Disc Brake groupset win Red Dot Design Award 2019

After the success in 2015 achieved with the Super Record EPS groupset, again Campagnolo is awarded this coveted trophy.

The Red Dot Design Award is one of the largest and most important design awards worldwide. The purpose of the award is to honor the exceptional quality of designers and producers who can compete for the prize since 1955. After the success in 2015 achieved with the Super Record EPS groupset, Campagnolo is again awarded with this coveted trophy, dominating the “Product Design” field in the “Bicycles and bicycle accessories” category with the Super Record Disc Brake 12 Speed groupset.

The Super Record Disc Brake 12 Speed is the highest expression of technology and evolution. It is geared towards riders who want to equip their bicycle with the best the market offers in terms of performance and distinctiveness. The new design is characterised by streamlined shapes and sleek lines that gives a mix of organic and functional design that express emotion, performance, aerodynamics and ergonomics. With 12 gears, the need for a wide range of cassettes is effectively eliminated as the extra gear allows for single tooth increments all the way to the 7th sprocket. The large use of carbon fiber and titanium make the Super Record one of the lightest groupset in the world.

The Super Record Disc Brake 12 Speed will receive the prestigious award during the Red Dot Gala to be held on 8 July at the Aalto-Theater in Essen, Germany.
