Building on the experience gained with Ekar 13s, Campagnolo has developed a new range of cassettes for the Record 13 groupset, designed to deliver even smoother, faster, more precise, and quieter shifting.
Thanks to optimized spacing and the use of a 13-speed chain, it has been possible to add an extra gear without changing the freehub body standard. The proven N3W standard is fully maintained, with no need for adapters or dedicated hubs.
The dedicated 13-speed cassette design features a central section with a Black Chrome finish, consistent with Super Record, while the final sprocket block showcases a laser-etched texture on a black base, giving the cassette a distinctive identity both technically and aesthetically.
Gear progression has been refined to be more linear, enabling riders to maintain an optimal cadence in all conditions, from climbing to flat terrain. The reduced gaps between sprockets allow for more efficient effort management, helping improve performance and reduce fatigue.
Multiple configurations are available to suit different terrains and riding styles, with starting sprockets from 10 and 11 teeth:
10–33: 10 / 11 / 12 – 13 / 14 / 15 / 16 / 18 / 20 – 23 / 26 / 29 / 33
11–36: 11 / 12 / 13 – 14 / 15 / 16 / 18 / 20 – 23 / 26 / 29 / 32 / 36
The cassette structure consists of an initial monoblock with the first three sprockets, followed by five or six independent central sprockets (depending on the configuration), and a final monoblock of four or five sprockets. This architecture mirrors that of Super Record and Ultra cassettes, ensuring full compatibility and expanding the range of possible combinations.
Record 13: one more sprocket is not just a number — it means more choice, smaller steps between gears, and always the perfect cadence for a superior riding experience.
