21yr old Campagnolo Rider Tadej Pogačar becomes the youngest winner of the Tour de France for over a hundred years and the first Slovenian to wear yellow at the Champs Elysees.
It is with great pleasure, huge respect and heartfelt pride we celebrate with the 21yr old Campagnolo Rider Tadej Pogačar of UAE Team Emirates today who has achieved perhaps the ultimate crown in professional road cycling, winning the 2020 Tour de France. In an exciting battle to the end that saw him not only take his third stage victory of the race, turning a 57sec deficit to fellow Slovenian Primoz Roglic into a 59sec winning margin in a powerful time trial performance, he also claimed the climber’s polka dot and white young rider’s jerseys in addition to the winners yellow jersey - the first for a Slovenian. And all a day before his 22nd birthday making him the youngest champion since 1904. Having supported all of our Campagnolo Riders throughout this delayed and challenging edition of the Tour de France it gives us great pleasure here in Vicenza to proudly add Pogačar to the list of cycling greats that have ridden the Champs Elysees in yellow on Campagnolo over the decades in the glorious history of the Tour de France.
Forza Tadej! - Thank you for an exhilarating race with a heroic finish and becoming a historic Campagnolo Rider.
Pogačar wins the 2020 Tour de France atop on his Colnago V3Rs bike equipped with the fastest Campagnolo Super Record EPS eletronic groupset and with the top of Campagnolo Bora range.
