Yes. Impacts can compromise the structural integrity of the components and of the frame even if there are no visible alterations (e.g. cracks, abrasion, deformation, cuts, etc.). Since it is impossible to assess the damage precisely, all the components affected by the accident should be examined by a specialised mechanic and replaced where necessary.

Many maintenance or repair operations on bicycles require specialised knowledge, specific tools, and experience. Good general mechanical know-how may not be sufficient to ensure repairs that are technically adequate. In addition, it is often difficult to diagnose the problem with sufficient precision. Repairs carried out improperly may lead to accidents and serious personal injury. We recommend that you contact a qualified mechanic for all technical operations on your bicycle.

The advantage of the Campagnolo warranty is that we offer consumers a much longer time to see whether defects of materials or workmanship appear. It often happens, in fact, that if a product is not used frequently, one year may not be sufficient for finding a defect.
