Here you can find the answers to the frequently asked questions

Yes, it is possible on Ergopower units equipped with electronics. However, adding the satellite control is not compatible with the "brake only" versions. This operation should be performed by a qualified mechanic or, preferably, an authorised service centre. A dedicated video illustrating the step-by-step procedure is available in the support area.

No, all Ergopower units are fully compatible and work with all versions of the platform. For example, even the 2x13 version can be managed with only the right-hand control in electronic configuration, thanks to the "shifting" function called Toggle, which allows you to control both the upshift and downshift of the derailleur with a single button.

To configure a single chainring set-up, both in the Gravel and Road versions, you need to use a rear derailleur equipped with a clutch, either the SR13 with "Nano Clutch" or Super Record X. For 2x13 versions intended for gravel use, we also recommend using the SR13 rear derailleur with "Nano Clutch".

As far as the crankset gears are concerned, no: you can fit up to 52 at the front and 48 at the rear of the sprocket set, for example. The configuration limits for this set-up are determined by the cassette: the SR X is only compatible with 9-42 and 10-48 cassette sets. For smaller sprockets, you need to use the SR 13 rear derailleur, which is compatible with sprocket sets up to 36 teeth.

Yes, it is compatible. To ensure the derailleur functions correctly, it must be installed on the frame using a standard UDH dropout or a traditional dropout. In a set-up that involves the use of SR X on a road frame, the crankset must be a 1x Road version, not the Super Record X version, as it has a chain line and Q factor specifically developed for road use.

No, the SR X rear derailleur is designed exclusively to work with 1x cranksets, both in Road and Gravel configurations.

The chain with the solid pin should be used for gravel setups, while the hollow one is for the road. The chain with the hollow pin is intended for configurations with cassettes up to 36 teeth. For cassettes with larger sprockets (42 and 48 teeth), regardless of whether used for road or gravel cycling, we recommend using a chain with a solid pin.

The Ekar chain is compatible with the SR13 for Road and Gravel setups with 42 and 48 tooth cassette sprockets. However, compatible does not mean optimal performance: for maximum performance, we recommend using the SR13-specific chain, the one with a solid pin designed for assemblies with 42 and 48 tooth cassette sprockets
