The new single-chainring aero crankset developed for the Super Record X is the result of an engineering project aimed at combining structural rigidity, mechanical efficiency, super-light weight, and functional aerodynamics, without sacrificing the distinctive design that characterizes every Campagnolo product.
The chainring, made of aeronautical aluminum alloy, features a completely redesigned tooth profile that has evolved from the experience gained with Ekar. This development ensures optimal chain engagement, guaranteeing uniform traction even in dead spots, and impeccable steadiness, even on the roughest terrain. The new surface finish increases wear resistance, ensuring consistent performance even under the most extreme conditions.
Campagnolo offers one of the widest gear ranges ever: six versions with 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, and 48 teeth, with the option of up to 52 teeth, to satisfy every need, from adventure gravel riding to top-performance fast gravel riding. In combination with the two 13-speed sprocket sets (9/42 and 10/48), a modular, all-encompassing, cutting-edge drivetrain is born, capable of providing cyclists with a wide range of choices.
The iconic Campagnolo design is embodied in the exposed carbon fiber cranks, enhanced by a specific logo: the Super Record X logo on the outside and an X on the inside, symbolizing the attention to detail and product care that have always set the brand apart.
The crankset is based on the reliable Ultra-Torque steel axle, here revised in length to ensure maximum compatibility with gravel bike frames that require large tire clearance (Q factor: 152mm, chain line: 47.5mm). The package is completed by the new QCK-Tech bottom bracket and Campagnolo low-friction bearings, sealed by an internal gasket to protect the balls, and a patented external gasket, positioned between the axle and the bearings to protect them from mud and dust, thus ensuring mechanical efficiency and durability over time.
The carbon cranks are available in lengths from 165mm to 175mm, to perfectly adapt to the biomechanics of each cyclist.
The new Super Record 13 aero cranksets are the beating heart of a drivetrain designed to exceed any expectations.
