The last Grand Tour of the season is starting.

The last GT of the season takes place from the 20th of October till the 8th of November. Compared to the original itinerary, the race consists out of 18 stages instead of 21. Despite a slightly lower number of days in the saddle, the Vuelta remains one of most challenging GT’s characterized by many uphill arrivals.

Our teams have made their final selection with the hopes of adding many victories to their palmarès and hopefully even the overall win!



The UAE Team Emirates starts the race with a dynamic squad who will mostly focus on stage victories, with De La Cruz and Formolo as possible GC contenders. Jasper Philipsen will be their lead-out for sprint finishes.

The Emirates team experienced a breakthrough showing at the 2019 edition of the Spanish race, with Tadej Pogačar claiming three stage wins and third overall in Madrid, as well as the white jersey for best young rider.

On their Colnago V3Rs bikes equipped with 12 Speed Super Record EPS electronic groupset and the top of the range Campagnolo Bora wheels, UAE Team Emirates will aiming to dominate the most prestigious stages.



For the first time in his career, Tim Wellens will be at the start of the Vuelta a España: the 29-year-old Belgian, who has won two stages in the Giro d'Italia in his career, will be the symbol of Lotto Soudal for the Spanish race. 

He is joined by Stan Dewulf, Tomasz Marczynski who in his career won two stages at the Vuelta, Tosh Van der Sande, and Rémy Mertz. They have high hopes for debutants Great expectations for debutants Kobe Goossens, Brent Van Moer and Gerben Thijssen.

The Belgian team will be using the Ridley Noah Fast Disc and Ridley Helium SLX Disc bikes equipped with Campagnolo Super Record EPS 12 Speed electronic Disc Brake groupset and Campagnolo Bora 35 Disc Brake and Campagnolo Bora 50 Disc Brake wheels.



This is a different edition for the French team, for the first time participating not as a Professional team but as a WorldTour team. A rider who has grown strongly in recent months, Guillaume Martin, was chosen for the classification. In aid of the captain, the Herrada brothers can be protagonists of the day.

The team is completed by Luis Ángel Maté, Fernando Barceló, Victor Lafay, Emmanuel Morin and Pierre Luc Perichon.

The riders of Team Cofidis will face the last Grand Giro atop their De Rosa Merak bikes equipped with Campagnolo Super Record EPS Disc Brake 12 Speed electronic groupsets.
