The batteries are identical for Super Record and Record 13-speed platform and are also backward compatible with the 12-speed WRL platform. Super Record 12v WRL batteries can be used on the 13v platform; however, the integrated battery status LEDs will not function. In this case, the battery level can be checked using the Mode button and status LED on the rear derailleur and front derailleur, or via the app or a paired cycling computer.

The 13v platform batteries do not require dedicated charging docks or power adapters. A single charging cable is included, compatible with rear derailleur, front derailleur, and power meter (if present). The cable features a USB-C connector and can be used with computers, smartphone chargers, or similar devices. Additionally, modern smartphones with reverse charging capability can be used as power banks, allowing charging on the go.

Yes. The safety release system, developed by the R&D department to protect the derailleur in case of impact, can also be manually activated. This allows the derailleur to be disengaged and manually positioned on the desired sprocket, enabling the rider to select a gear even without battery power. To restore normal operation, simply use the configured button or lever on the Ergopower control to move the rear derailleur to the smallest sprocket; it will automatically re-engage.

Yes, all versions (road 2x, 2x all-road with clutch, and gravel 1x X variant) are compatible and share the same capacity. Rear derailleurs are interchangeable within the same application category, but not across different categories (e.g. a road 2x derailleur cannot be used in a gravel 1x setup), regardless of whether they are Super Record or Record.
