The 103rd edition of the Corsa Rosa is starting.

The second Grand Tour of this particular season takes place from 3 to 25 October. Unlike previous editions, the Corsa Rosa will start from Italy this year. Some of the best riders in the world will compete for the Trofeo senza Fine along the 21 stages from Palermo to Milan: 3 individual time trials, 6 low difficulty stages suitable for sprinters, 6 medium difficulty and 6 of high difficulty stages. Twenty-two are the teams presented, 19 UCI WorldTeams and 3 with wild cards, many kilometers to go before the final catwalk in Milan that will deliver the pink jersey of the 103rd edition of the Giro.

After the success of Richard Carapaz in the last edition of Giro d’Italia, the Campagnolo Teams will give their all to conquer the greatest number of results.

UAE Team Emirates

Still fresh from the success of Tadej Pogačar at the Tour de France, the team goes into the race with many options. Fernando Gaviria will be the main protagonist for the sprints while Diego Ulissi, Valerio Conti and Joe Dombrowski will try to animate the race as shown in past editions of the Corsa Rosa.

On their Colnago V3Rs bikes equipped with 12 Speed Super Record EPS electronic groupset and the top of the range Campagnolo Bora wheels, UAE Team Emirates will aiming to dominate the most prestigious stages.

Team Cofidis

For the first time in ten years, the Cofidis team will compete in the Giro d'Italia. The team will be able to count on its Italian sprint star, Elia Viviani, and an eclectic line-up to aim for stage victories. The sprinter, who has 97 victories in the professional category, will be the team's driving force on the roads of the Giro. Although he was unable to fully exploit his chances in Tour de France, Elia is hoping that his performance in Giro would be more successful. The sprinter will be able to count on his young teammate Simone Consonni, who finished 3rd in the stage of Lyon on the Tour de France. Kenneth Vanbilsen and Nathan Haas will accompany the two Italians.

Confirming the highly Italian character of the project, the Cofidis team’s riders will take to the season on De Rosa Merak bikes equipped with Campagnolo Super Record EPS Disc Brake 12 Speed electronic groupsets.
