Which group are you?

Which group are you?

Campagnolo’s range of world-leading groupsets cater for all levels of rider and all budgets.

At Campagnolo, we offer numerous models of groupset from the entry-level mechanical Centaur to the top-end electronic Super Record EPS, plus the greatest gravel groupset around – the Ekar 13-speed.

Here we guide you through the range to see which suits your ability, experience and budget.

SUPER RECORD EPS

This is the pinnacle of groupsets – the top-of-the range electronic Super Record EPS as used by the likes of UAE Team Emirates, Lotto-Soudal, AG2R Citroen Team and Cofidis.

The Super Record EPS is 12-speed, giving you plenty of options when powering along the flat or floating up the mountains. There’s innovation aplenty to guarantee smooth, precise shifting every single time.

It starts with the new Ergopower controls that effortlessly and accurately mean, if so desired, you can shift right across the slimline and sturdy 12 sprockets.

You can program this via the usable MyCampy app. The new Super Record EPS front and rear derailleur are next  level, and forged from high-tech materials such as long-fibre carbon and ultra-light technopolymer.

They’re fuelled by the most powerful motors on the market, and are perfect for the kind of swift shifting seen by Tadej Pogacar en route to his memorable Liege-Bastogne-Liege earlier this year.

One of the standout features of version four of the EPS is the junction box that rather neatly can replace a bar-end on your handlebars or, on some bikes, positioned inside your downtube. Not only does this streamline cabling and, in turn, improve aerodynamics, it also ensures you can easily view charge status.

The Super Record also comes in mechanical version, while the EPS is available in both caliper and disc models.

For disc-brake aficionados, the disc-braking system cleverly uses an innovative mechanism to return the pads. So now breaking reliability’s guaranteed as much as the need for speed.

RECORD

A step down in price but still of the highest quality is Campagnolo’s formidable Record mechanical groupset, available in traditional and disc-brake versions. This 12-speed system has undergone an overhaul and features new chainsets, front and rear derailleurs, rim and disc brakes, and shift/brake levers.

Those of you looking to conquer Italy’s Maratona dles Dolomites or the UK’s Fred Whitton Challenge can seamlessly upgrade with your existing bike foundations.

There are myriad features to cater for the keen and improving road cyclist including: the front derailleurs designed that it’s perfect for the increasingly popular wider tyre; the new hole-free right-hand crank cuts drag and gives you free speed; and the Ergopower controls that are more confident and streamlined than ever before.

CHORUS

Okay, so you’ve ridden Campagnolo’s Centaur groupset for years, have enjoyed it, have bonded with it, but you’re ready to upgrade. It’s time for Campagnolo’s Chorus in either disc or caliper option. And would you believe it, the 12-speed technology is seen again.

The Chorus is aimed at the all-round cyclist with the new Ultra Torque 32/48 chainset.

Throw in a 11-34 cassette for the widest gear range Campagnolo’s ever offered, meaning you can conquer every cycling scenario. (There’s also traditional 50/34 compact and 52/36 semi-compact options.)

Standouts from an array of innovative features are: dropped in-board lever design so you can shift down on the drops; unidirectional carbon raises crankset strength while lowering weight; and optimisation of Campagnolo’s ‘Micro Precision Shifting’ (MPS) system ensures absolute precision when changing gear.

CENTAUR

Last in the road-bike range by no means least is the new 11-speed Campagnolo Centaur groupset. This is perfect for riders who have cranked up their commitment to cycling.

Available in stealth black or slick silver versions, it comes in 50/34 and 52/36 sizes, and utilises the two-part Ultra-Torque axle previously only seen on higher-end Campagnolo cranks.

In fact, plenty of higher-tier characteristics have trickled down to the Centaur including: the four-arm crank spider design that possesses high rigidity and structural integrity; the front and rear derailleurs that are 15g lighter than its competitors; and beautifully crafted cassettes that come in 11-29,  11-32 and 12-32 configurations to cater for different cycling requirements.

EKAR (GRAVEL)

That’s road covered. Now it’s time to finish off by covering gravel – and what a groupset.

Then 13-speed Ekar is easily the lightest gravel groupset you can buy and is lauded as the best single-chainring system around.

Sprocket options cover every gravel eventuality, coming in 9-36, 9-42 and 10-44, with the newly designed freehub compatible with previous 10-, 11- and 12-speed Campagnolo cassettes.

Clever. That’s outback.

Upfront are the Ergopower shift/brake levers that, when necessary,  can shift up three sprockets at a time – appreciated during the mixed terrain and topography of gravel riding.

Neat, finer touches include a clutch that prevents the chain from bouncing around when faced with rough ground and a narrower chain than 12-speed versions for crisp, smooth shifting.

Hydraulic calipers with organic pads complete the finest gravel groupset in the world.
